Collection: Ingrid Christoffels

Ingrid Christoffels studied at a fine arts school in the Netherlands, earning a degree in Art History and Painting/Drawing. She has lived and worked in France for 33 years.

In my paintings, I express a feeling of fullness and freedom that one can feel when walking on the beach or in the fields.

Everything is self-evident! There are no frills, everything is said in one movement (or almost).

Over the past 43 years, her paintings have often changed subject matter, but the energy, harmony, and rhythm remain ever-present. The feminine is very present in her work; seen from the inside, the strength of the spirit shines through beyond the physical envelope.

These women, standing upright on their bikes, continue on their way with their own luggage: "a question of balance."

They turned: portraits of women.

We find the same energy in his paintings inspired by nature or jazz.
Creating the paintings alongside musicians and dancers opened her up to those "magical" moments of evidence where these paintings are guided by an inner movement.

Listening to music is a medium linked to its creation.

She is the winner of the “Traversées” creation grant.

His paintings can be found in several European countries and in the United States.
Acquisitions by the Renaud Foundation, the Jean Marie Menez Collection and the Jacques Outin Collection.

She completed a 4-year training course at the École de Provence de Yoga, which ended in 2018 with the defense of her thesis "Yoga and the Arts".

Since then, she has been a certified yoga teacher at FNEY and teaches yoga one day a week.

Between 2000 and 2015, she was a member of the board of directors of the Maison d'Arts Plastiques Rhône-Alpes in Lyon.

After living in the South-East of France for 26 years, she moved to La Teste de Buch in 2019. In 2021, she was the patron of the Movement d'Arts festival in the town of La Teste de Buch. In the same year, she created the ArtSens association to promote the plastic and visual arts in La Teste de Buch.

In 2023, at the invitation of the Bordeaux Academy, she worked on the motif with 30 visual arts teachers on the theme of color.

In 2024, she exhibited her works with Martine Pinsolle at the Fonds Labégorre, in Seignosse.

Making art accessible to all is close to his heart.
