Collection: Ozmo

Ozmo, a contemporary artist, fuses the creative energies of urban art with a bold exploration of new communication spaces. His work is characterized by an amalgam of real and surreal images, mixing pop symbols and representations of archetypes.

A Passion for Icons

Ozmo is fascinated by icons, which he defines as images that have acquired power through their use as objects of worship. These icons often become the starting point of his creative process through an act of appropriation.

Representing the Unrepresentable

The artist seeks to represent what cannot be represented, using a visual language that combines pop and advertising aesthetics with allegorical elements inspired by symbols, myths and esoteric religious traditions. His goal is to create free and fantastic associations of signs and images, capable of generating ambiguities and offering new layers of meaning.

A Scientific and Methodical Style

Ozmo takes a scientific approach to his art, working with two main methods: analog and correspondence.

  • Analogue Method : Ozmo uses symbols, images, and signs to depict situations or allegories, in the same way that the alphabet forms language. By remixing visual elements—details, references to paintings, photos, engravings, and documents—and integrating short texts to accentuate the ambiguity, he creates unique works, such as his large murals. These works reflect a playful attitude, inspired by surrealism and the free association of ideas.

  • Correspondence Method : Ozmo crawls the web for images based on keywords, selecting those that relate to the various semantic ramifications of the term. This search process influences the title and final composition of the work.

A Dialogue with the Public

Through his methods and artistic interventions, Ozmo questions the content of the Signifier. His work is a meditation on the use of images and an artistic process intended for the Other—the Public and/or the Context—as a game open to the vision and interpretation of a hypertextual alphabet of symbols.
