Collection: Benjamin Georgeaud

BIOGRAPHY

Born in 1980, Benjamin Georgeaud discovered sculpture during his first trip to Florence at the age of 15.

After his baccalaureate, he decided to devote himself fully to his art. He entered the studios of Jonathan Hirschfeld and Zoltan Zsako, at the same time he took evening classes in drawing and morphological analysis in the Beaux-Arts workshops of the Paris City Hall.

In 2002, Benjamin exhibited his work to the general public for the first time at the 15th arrondissement artists' fair and received the Special Jury Prize.

In 2006 Benjamin created his own workshop in Paris and since 2010 he has been based in Montreuil.

In 2009, at the Paris Autumn Salon, Benjamin Georgeaud received the “Géant des Beaux-Arts” Prize with his bronze sculpture “La douleur de Nausicaa”. In 2012, he was awarded the Bronze Medal of the Society of French Artists at the Grand Palais.

Known for his portraits and bas-reliefs, he was chosen to create the Korean characters for the opening of the Grévin Museum in Seoul.

His work around and from the human body creates powerful works, bronzes of astonishing density, but where life always surfaces. His interest in the circus finds a perfect justification in his way of interpreting movement, his works, often very evocative, transmit a mixture of strength and elegance.

Benjamin was chosen to produce the "Artistika" trophy, the ultimate reward for artists at the Visp Circus Festival (Switzerland).

In 2017, his circus-themed collection was presented to the general public at the 38th Cirque de Demain festival in Paris.

Today, it is present in many collections as well as in Galleries in Europe. He carries out numerous private orders for collectors.
