The technique of oil and "sfumato" gives the landscapes an atmosphere of mystery. The light is concentrated in a few precise touches, letting the shadow flourish its territory. The mists envelop the hills and trees, leaving the horizon in the spotlight. Sometimes, clouds, tormented, cross the canvas in a single breath in shades of gray, sometimes orange flashes warm the entire canvas. Sometimes, the sky folds back, giving the leading role to the landscape, or stretches its space, almost making the expanse of hills and trees disappear.
