Collection: Jessica Seivert

Jessica Seivert was born on November 27, 1976 in Lorraine. She now lives in the Var region.

From a very young age, she has been drawing, initially pencil portraits. She enjoys capturing the expression of a look, a smile.

She pursued higher education in sociology after a literary baccalaureate that opened her cultural universe, offering her an encounter with literature and reflection on the world around her. Behind the gaze captured in pencil, Jessica will love above all to discover the soul, the heart and perceive the richness of what drives us, emotion.

It is the world of words, its power, that fascinates her. She evolves towards painting at the same time as she writes. Her first illustrated collection of poems received the silver medal from éditions poésie.io in 2024.

Emotions are written and words are visualized. One inspiration, two variations: a poem, a painting follows.

Rather figurative, between acrylic paint, spray paint, stencils, collages, his canvases like the words that often take place there evoke the suspended moment, love, femininity, sensuality, hope, sometimes combat.

Each painting is full of meaning and symbolism. We discover several levels of interpretation. Details challenge the eye and the mind once the initial overall impression has passed.

The raw, thrown, barely blended colors express themselves in contrast. The worked lines and writing rub shoulders with the randomness of collages and drips for a composition that holds the eye and soothes.

A poetic artistic approach that invites us to embrace our sensitivity, to smile and to live the present moment like a work of art in the making.
