Collection: Joëlle GriMo

A scientific background that allowed her to live and travel in many countries, an anchoring in the Alpilles region at the end of the 90s, the revelation of a possible fulfillment through drawing and painting, the teaching of established artists including the visual artist Joseph Alessandri: this is the path that led Joëlle griMo to begin an artistic career.

Since 2010, she has shared her creations with the public by exhibiting them regularly, mainly in Provence and most recently in Venice (2023) and Paris (2024).

Artistic approach

• To achieve fulfillment by translating inspiration into images, connecting the inner vibration to
hand gesture.
• To this end, test different technical tools and enrich one's experience.
• Prioritize accuracy in writing, even if it means a constantly evolving output.
mutation.
• Complete the process by offering the work to other perspectives.

Here is a statement from the artist regarding his "Fugue" series: "The Fugue series offers a set of close-ups of a few evocative details of a landscape of the Alpilles, transcribed in a personal pictorial style, combining powerful emotions and past influences.
With a limited color palette and graphics inspired by distant calligraphies, it invites us to absorb the raw energy emanating from these works.
And why not, to question our relationship with Nature, the way we look at it, the interactions we maintain or endure… and to question the fact that most of our current civilizations have chosen to dissociate themselves from it."
