Marie-Ange Scala's major work is the series "Les Sublimes" with its frank colors applied in generous flat tints, created solely by intuition and feeling.

Although she specialized in the nude, Marie-Ange Scala never stopped exploring all types of media and subjects with disconcerting ease and speed of execution. Places encountered during travels, bouquets of flowers offered, current affairs are transfigured into landscapes, still lifes, terracottas or compositions.
