Collection: Marie Saksik

Marie Saksik's works, initially academic, have gradually evolved towards a more personal approach to the female body. Harmony, the balance of fullness and thinness, are the common thread of her work. Her sculptures, inspired by the Apsaras, with their supple lines, delicate features and rounded modeling, symbolize femininity and sensitivity. Through this revisited figurative style, she presents us with free, sensual, sometimes romantic but uninhibited women. Beauty, elegance, refinement, are a tribute to the feminine figure that assumes itself with grace and serenity.
