Collection: Pascal Servius

Pascal Servius is a photographer whose work is part of a poetic and meditative exploration of nature. Born in 1970 and based in Thionville, this self-taught artist has forged a unique visual universe, capturing the ephemeral beauty of the landscapes that surround him.

His artistic journey took a decisive turn after several inspiring encounters with Fabrice Milochau, a landscape photographer he deeply admires. Through these exchanges, Pascal discovered his style, flourishing in an approach that blends sensitivity and technical expertise. As an autodidact, he devoted many years to mastering his craft, focusing particularly on light—that fleeting yet essential element in his compositions. The challenges of light exposure pushed him to experiment and play with his settings to achieve the perfect image.

Through his photographs, Pascal transports us into an ode to solitude, where each image transforms into a refuge, an invitation to escape into a silent world. He pays particular attention to the evanescent light that plays on the contours of landscapes, revealing the delicate lines and often forgotten nuances of nature. Each work is a true metaphor for the intimate connection between man and his environment, a tribute to the very essence of nature, where we are invited to reconnect with our inner fullness.

The forest, in particular, occupies a central place in his work. A witness to his childhood, this sacred space was a refuge for him, a place of serenity. Concern over the devastation of the forests he holds dear fuels his artistic commitment. Pascal aims, through his work, to raise awareness among viewers of the fragile beauty of these ecosystems, highlighting both the ephemeral and timeless nature that characterize them.
