"The invisible interior"
277 x 167 cm, 2009
In “L’intero invisibile,” the artist explores the boundaries of the visible and the invisible through a fascinating mix of mythological imagery and mysterious figures. On the left, a three-headed chimerical creature, similar to a mythical black beast, stretches across the canvas, its dripping fur and sculptural features capturing a raw, untamed energy. Its intense gaze, materialized by dots or lines, seems to pierce the viewer’s space, blurring the boundaries between the work and the real world.
On the right, spectral figures, drawn in a more ethereal style, contrast with the solidity of the beast. These enigmatic characters, draped in archaic clothing and holding ambiguous objects such as a crucifix and weapons, seem to float between two worlds, on the border between the tangible and the intangible. Their expressions, both full of defiance and secrecy, question the notions of power, belief and identity.
The abstract background, with its neutral tones and veiled patterns, acts as an undefined space, reinforcing the idea of a universe where the visible and the invisible coexist and overlap. “L’intero invisibile” is a bold exploration of the duality of existence, a meditation on what is seen and what remains hidden, an invitation to venture beyond appearances to discover the hidden truths of our perceived reality.
