A ceramic sculptor from northern France, Philippe Rude shapes his works as reflections of his emotions and imagination. After a career in the metalworking industry, he devoted himself fully to ceramics and bronze, finding in clay a raw and instinctive language of expression.

His work is marked by an exploration of forms and materials, oscillating between abstraction and figuration. His artistic signature, a crushed cube, recurs in many pieces as a symbol of transformation and tension between strength and fragility.

Inspired by history, mythology, and nature, he plays with the effects of fire, oxides, and smoke to reveal unique textures and nuances. For him, the artist does not seek to master the material, but to engage in a dialogue with it.
