Collection: Tiphaine de Belenet

Artistic approach

Tiphaine de Belenet is an artist from Marseille whose painting, nourished by Mediterranean light and oriental lands, is part of a dual heritage: learning to draw according to the Martenot method, and a free and sensory exploration born at the Beaux-Arts de Marseille from 2005.

Her practice focuses on the essential: clean lines, desert landscapes, bleached skies, vibrant ochres, Moroccan memories… So many fragments that she transcribes with oil, acrylic, ink, pastel, or collage. The gesture, intuitive yet structured, leaves room for the viewer's imagination.

Her art, poetic and contemplative, is permeated by silence and light. Emptiness becomes breath, color—ochre, red, earth—becomes memory. Inspired by travels, street scenes, or inhabited landscapes, her works invite us to slow down and see differently.

💬 Excerpt from his artistic thought

“The emptiness of the desert leads to a simplification of forms: I strive not to fill the space, to create openings in the silhouettes… This allows the imagination to run free, by shedding realistic clarity.”
