"At a young age, Jonathan Van Patten had the good fortune to have an art teacher who immediately encouraged experimentation. Color and Line were there in the beginning, evolving over the years into a visual language representing themes of change, healing, and vitality by way of “individualization,” a term CG Jung coined where the ego and unconscious self are brought into a state of marriage within, thus the individual is developed from the universal.
