About the artist

Contemporary figurative sculptor, Maxence LANDON began sculpting in 2016 in Élisabeth Bonvalot's studio. This discovery marked a turning point: through contact with clay, a vocation emerged, offering a powerful emotional language, free from all duality. Since 2017, he has devoted himself fully to it.

Trained in artistic teaching, he became a sculpture and modeling teacher for the Sevran town hall in 2019. In 2020, he obtained the certificate of sculpture and modeling workshop leader , consolidating his desire to pass on his knowledge.

An inhabited sculpture, between emotion and introspection

His practice of terracotta, often extended by bronze thanks to the collaboration with the Fonderie Chapon , explores the human figure with a touch of surrealism. Each work is born in an almost meditative state, where emotions, doubts, desires and memories take shape, without judgment.

His sculptures question identity, passage, and memory. They offer a breath of fresh air at the heart of existence, a poetic and sensitive space in the tumult of reality.
