Turquoise 10 reveals the intimacy of matter at the microscopic level, captured under polarization in the heart of the laboratory of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. This photograph is part of research conducted by the artist for his scientific thesis on the only known turquoise deposit in Greece, at Vathi Kilkis.
Here, the rock becomes a constellation. The fragmented mineral structure radiates gently, as if carrying within it the remains of a silent explosion. We perceive the memory of the soil, the faults, the scars, and a light suspended between the visible and the invisible.
A fragile and cosmic work, where science becomes poetry, and the mineral, a territory of buried emotions.
