When the mountains open to the breezes from Italy, another world awakens. Snow arrives unexpectedly, carried from the East, and reshapes the landscape in a shudder of silence and light.
In this work, Vincent Favre captures the rare moment when the vibrant brilliance of autumn larches converses with the freshly fallen white of the mountaintops. Gold and ice echo each other in a scene where the ruggedness of the landscape transforms into delicacy.
