In Untitled rockform IV , Ioustini Drakoulakou captures a world in suspension, on the border between mineral and liquid, rock and light. Beneath the undulation of a watery surface, matter seems to dance: reflections blur certainties, textures overlap like geological memories blurred by time.

The stone, seen through the water, becomes almost unreal, cradled by deep blues, vaporous grays, and inky blacks. This composition speaks to us of gentle erosion, dissolution, and revelation. It evokes an ancient secret that surfaces, a vestige of an underground world brought to light.

As part of the Losing turquoise series, this work further highlights the dialogue between the intimate and the invisible, between soil science and mystical gaze.
