Collection: Francois Lemaire

I work in series. For each one, I have the same objective: to create a poetic connection with the viewer. Starting from an idea, a color, or simply a trace, I imagine a motif. It is on this motif that the connection is forged, going beyond a purely figurative representation. The aim is to leave, as much as possible, room for interpretation, a diffuse feeling, and, I hope, a kind of dream.

What interests me in painting is its poetic intensity. It's a space that goes far beyond the simple representation of things. Another territory where the question of time, space, being, and ultimately life unfolds.
