Between derision and majesty.
A nod to Monty Python, A Knight Who Says "Ni!" subverts the image of the knight in armor. Here, an immaculate stone, rigorously sculpted and pierced by a central void, stands on a base of burnt, earthy, and dark wood. The whole evokes a straight, almost monolithic silhouette, both absurd and solemn.
This sculpture plays with contrasts: between light and darkness, between English humor and formal purity, between emptiness and fullness.
A work that questions the notion of power, posture, and the strange balance between solemnity and derision.
A motionless knight, guardian of an imaginary world.
