A summer scene that subverts the idealization of bodies and glamorous poses with disarming humor. A character in a striped swimsuit, seen from behind, enters the pool with confidence, offering a vision as burlesque as it is refreshing. Jean-Marie Gitard plays here with the codes of "body positivity" and sensuality by transposing them into a hyperrealistic and joyfully offbeat aesthetic.
The work invites us to embrace our imperfections with lightness and tenderness.
