In this pale bark, marked with scars and pigmented eyes, Andisheh Moghtaderpour does not simply paint a tree: she reveals a being. Birch seems to observe us through its knots that have become gazes, mysterious, almost human, laden with silent stories.
The material, both fluid and textured, invites slow contemplation—where the skin of the plant meets the soul of the living. Each eye, a different color, suggests the multiplicity of consciousnesses buried in nature: ancient spirits, silent witnesses, rooted sentinels.
Touches of bright green, like tenacious shoots, frame this vibrant presence. The birch here is a totem, a mirror, a guardian. It seems to say: "I am alive, I see you, and I remember."
Andisheh, in intimate dialogue with the trees, continues here his quest for a link between humans and plants, between buried memory and embodied presence.
Birch is a song of bark and gaze, an invitation to listen differently.
