Nagaur is a small town in western Rajasthan, located halfway between Jodhpur and Bikaner, known for its spices and traditional sweets.
I stayed in the magnificent fortress-palace and particularly enjoyed visiting the dargah (Sufi shrine) and the city bazaar.
This scene depicts a typical neighborhood shop, like many found along the bustling, colorful streets of the bazaar. In the back room, a young man waits for customers; to the left, another man sits—a customer, perhaps?
