Here, Laurence Van Baren magnifies a vine whose knotty curves evoke outstretched arms, a frozen dance between heaven and earth. The finely crafted wire extends this gesture by tracing aerial lines, as if the vine were continuing its growth beyond time. On its concrete base, the whole creates a tension between rootedness and momentum, between balance and freedom.
