Liberté is a manifest sculpture. Born from fine-grained freestone, it is entirely handcrafted using the demanding method of direct carving. Under Arestakes's tools—chisels, rifflers, burins—the material transforms into a poetic impulse that combines design, abstraction, and stylized figuration.
At the border between dream and reality, Liberté reveals, depending on the angle, a constellation of shapes and creatures: a bird flies into the clouds, transforms into a dolphin diving into the waves, becomes a fish, an elephant, a buffalo or a human face. This unique work offers a constantly renewed experience, a sensory and symbolic journey where each glance invites a new interpretation.
Vibrant with movement, curves, and formal freedom, it expresses walking, flight, and swimming: primordial gestures of liberation. It can be reproduced upon request in numbered bronze art, plaster, or resin to continue spreading its universal message.
