In February 1999, a 15-day trip to Crete, masterfully organized by my mother.
We had rented a car which allowed us, from Heraklion, to tour Crete along the coast, to explore the inland hills covered with olive trees and to visit some monasteries.
At this time of year, few tourists frequented the area.
I had brought my outdoor easel and I set it up in different places to immortalize the landscapes I encountered.
The almond trees were already in bloom in February in the valleys, and their fragrance filled the air. Their white color tinged with pink stood out against the surrounding landscape. Nature has a way of dazzling me.
