In February 1999, a 15-day trip to Crete, expertly organized by my mother.
We had rented a car which allowed us, from Heraklion, to go around Crete along the coast, to crisscross the inland hills covered with olive trees and to visit some monasteries.
At this time of year there were few tourists visiting the area.
I brought my outdoor easel and set it up in different places to immortalize the landscapes I encountered.
The almond trees were already in bloom in February in the valleys and they were fragrant. Their white color tinged with pink stood out in the surrounding landscape. Nature has the gift of dazzling me.
