Two squared heads – Alain Monvoisin
Two presences face to face, separated and yet connected by a play of grids. Two Gridded Heads explores the idea of fragmented perception, of the gaze filtered by invisible structures that condition our interactions.
The two oval shapes, inscribed in a universe of lines and geometries, seem both enclosed and defined by these frames that cover them. One, in earthy tones, blends into an orange background, while the other, bluish, seems to open up to a certain transparency. Between them, graphic elements – triangles, textures, offset planes – blur the reading of the space, creating a silent but intense dialogue.
Monvoisin questions here the nature of human relationships: are these grids frameworks that structure us or barriers that separate us? Deux têtes quadrillées plays with this ambivalence, inviting us to question our own filters and thought patterns. A fascinating work where the rigor of form meets the fluidity of emotion.
