Two heads, one love – Holding of heads – Alain Monvoisin
A vertical tangle, a construction of precarious balances where heads pile up like the layers of a shared history. Two heads, one love – Holding de têtes evokes a relationship where one supports the other, where identities overlap without ever merging.
The spherical shapes, bursting into vibrant colours – yellow, green, red, purple – structure this human tower, between stability and fragility. Framed by an architecture with soft and textured hues, they seem suspended between gravity and elevation. The title, ironic and poetic, plays on the duality between the intimate and the economic, between the emotional bond and the calculated stacking of a “holding”.
Monvoisin questions here the dynamics of the couple, of dependence and interdependence. What connects us to others? Are we pillars or weights for those around us? Two heads, one love – Holding de têtes is a subtle reflection on human bonds, between strength, support and inevitable instability.
