A futuristic astronaut in a silver jumpsuit arrives in a banal urban setting: a lit gas station, a PIRELLI sign, and a meteorite streaking across the sky. The reflection in the puddle at her feet reverses the perspective, as if the entire universe were shifting. The artist blurs the lines between retro science fiction and contemporary reality, between cosmic danger and the absurdity of terrestrial life.
The contrast between the astronaut's heroic posture and the emptiness of the place creates a striking effect, both comic and melancholic.
