In Espérance (Alzheimer) , Maguy Bourzeix creates a moving work, both intimate and universal. The central tree, vigorous and rooted, becomes the symbol of collective memory, bearing on its trunk the faces of entire generations, marked by the passage of time, by tenderness, by forgetting.
The branches, like veins of memories, extend and intertwine. Some figures seem to fade gently into the foliage, others remain, grave and present. At its summit, an ethereal female figure opens her arms, embodying hope, light, perhaps even healing.
