In Cachés , Andisheh Moghtaderpour scrutinizes the surface to better reveal the interior. The wood's grain becomes language, the knots take the form of eyes, faces, hidden shadows—so many presences lurking within the material. Each board seems like a frozen memory, a skin tanned by time, imbued with stories that we guess at without naming them.
The artist questions us here about what we let glimpse... and what we choose to keep silent. This triptych encourages us to slow down, to contemplate, to cross the threshold of the apparent to touch the intimate. Echoing her multicultural roots and nomadic experience, Andisheh explores identity as a complex layer, made of textures, silences, and hidden gazes.
Cachés is a work of poetic tension: between abstraction and figuration, between visible and invisible, it becomes a mirror of our own dark areas.
