Power, sisterhood, roots.
In Amazones , Félix Lamalle paints a solar scene where nature and women become one. By the sea, at the foot of a dense forest, five female figures, naked or dressed in simple loincloths, stand, observe each other, or meditate. Their stylized bodies, brown and powerful, recall the very roots of the earth. Each asserts a posture, a presence, an identity.
The trees, slender like guardians, seem to lean toward them, complicit. The sky burns an incandescent yellow, the blue of the water pulses like a heart. Here, nature is not decor, it is breath, matrix, mirror.
