Where roots meet, a silent love is born.
In Le cœur vert , Maguy Bourzeix weaves a vibrant allegory of the human connection to nature, to others, to oneself. Two female faces, rooted in lush vegetation, face each other on either side of a powerful waterfall. Their hair is forest, their thoughts foliage. Between them, suspended by a red thread, a heart—green, beating, offered.
The scene is traversed by a breath of water and life. In the background, a finely drawn bridge connects the two cliffs, like an echo of the bond that unites the characters. The water, omnipresent, becomes a symbol of purification, emotion, and passage.
