The embodiment of beauty and mortality – An ode to the cycle of life.
In this work imbued with poetry and duality, DYLÄKS captures the symbolic essence of the sakura, the Japanese cherry tree, in all its complexity. The delicate branches, adorned with vibrant pink blossoms, rise against a serene blue background, evoking the promise of spring renewal. Yet this ephemeral beauty also recalls the fragility of life, highlighting the contrast between vitality and mortality.
The black silhouettes of the birds in flight accentuate this tension between movement and permanence, between the freedom of the moment and the inevitable passage of time. Painted with an aerosol and enriched with posca details, this minimalist but meaningful composition plunges the viewer into a profound reflection on the coexistence of beauty and transience.
Like the sakuras, DYLÄKS’s work embodies life in all its richness: a balance between the gentleness and violence of emotions, between celebration and melancholy. The embodiment of beauty and mortality invites us to embrace this universal duality, with wonder and humility.
