PHIL-H plays with the opulence of gold and the depth of purple to evoke the universal quest for peace and hope. The metallic background, spray-painted in gold and worked with a knife, captures the light from every angle, while the circular cross in thick purple symbolizes resistance and resilience.
At first glance, the circle appears intact, but part of it is disintegrating into irregular fragments: the symbol is "falling apart," as if to suggest that peace is always fragile and constantly in need of reconstruction. The gold flakes, scattered here and there, are like sparks of optimism that punctuate the scene.
