A blue-tinted pool, a white railing, neutral tiling. The apparent calm is suddenly disturbed by the mischievous gaze and ambiguous expression of the swimmer in the red cap, the only human figure in a pared-down universe.
With discreet but piquant humor, Pee Break IV plays on the gap between rigorous aesthetics and mischievous undertones. Jean-Marie Gitard offers us here a minimalist scene with immediate evocative power, where the unsaid becomes the true substance of the work.
