In February 1999, a 15-day trip to Crete, masterfully organized by my mother.
We had rented a car which allowed us, from Heraklion, to tour Crete along the coast, to explore the inland hills covered with olive trees and to visit some monasteries.
At this time of year, few tourists frequented the area.
I had brought my outdoor easel and I set it up in different places to immortalize the landscapes I encountered.
Crete boasts numerous charming harbors. The sea's blue hues shift throughout the day. Here is the port of Agios Nikolaos with its lighthouse. The sea is calm, its color blending seamlessly with the sky.
