Progress 2 continues the visual exploration of the theme of progress initiated in the first painting in the series. Here, Viviane Ortiz Mauske summons the scientific, technical, and cosmic imagination in an architectural composition of stylized forms. Emblematic symbols are recognizable: the DNA double helix, the atom, the clock face, lenses, and observatory domes.
The central structure seems to embody a futuristic research center, at the crossroads of science, time, and the universe. The geometric language, supported by bold colors—red, blue, ochre, black—recalls the Constructivist and Bauhaus movements, while retaining a very personal identity. The vibrant and symbolic sun in the upper left corner completes this reflection on knowledge and energy.
