Lawless No. 1 – An artistic cry of alarm in the face of overconsumption.
With Sans foi ni loi n°1 , DYLÄKS highlights the harsh reality of animal overexploitation in a world dominated by overconsumption and profit. At the center of the canvas, the head of a mutilated bovine, identified by a label as a simple product, embodies the abandonment of respect for life. The bloody red that flows from its wounds testifies to a systemic and trivialized violence, reflecting a deep disgust for the excesses of liberal capitalism.
The composition combines spray paint, posca, Indian ink and marker, giving the work a raw intensity. The electrocardiogram, which crosses the scene, symbolizes life – fragile and manipulated – which wavers under the weight of human excesses. The blue background, apparently soothing, reinforces by contrast the horror of the central elements.
DYLÄKS does not accuse, but challenges: this symbolic and striking work warns against the inevitable consequences of our collective choices. Sans foi ni loi n°1 is a powerful visual statement, an invitation to rethink our relationship with the living before the imbalance becomes irreparable. A work that is both disturbing and necessary.
