Like a pensive sailor scanning the horizon from the prow of a ship, this sculpture evokes the breath of great voyages.
The white stone, ovoid and smooth, floats like a sail billowing in the offshore wind. The worn wood, marked by time, seems to emerge from another age—perhaps a hold beam or a fragment of a mast. The curved tool traces the line of a rudder or a bow, guiding the trajectory toward an uncertain elsewhere.
Leaning over the bow of a white caravel is an invitation to dream, to inner adventure, to a symbolic departure towards that which is beyond us.
