In this work, with a title borrowed from Virgil, Pascal Le Berre presents a slender silhouette, reaching toward a luminous elsewhere. The contrast between the blackened wood and the light sphere of Caen stone evokes an elevation out of darkness, a surge of the soul. The recycled metal traces an uncertain but resolute trajectory, recalling the fragility of human aspiration in the face of the unknown.
