A severed trunk, the memory of a felled tree, nevertheless rises with quiet strength. Where everything seemed frozen, finished, the surge of life reappears. From its roots, faithful to the earth, sprout buds, leafy hands, gestures of hope.
At the heart of the stump, a human body emerges from the rings of the wood, a fragile, black figure, as if poised at the center of time. It is both scar and seed. Witness to a wound, but also the embodiment of continuity.
With Repousse , Andisheh Moghtaderpour does not paint nature: she lends it voice, body, and struggle. She invites us to read an ancient wisdom in the fibers of the world—one that knows that the end is only ever the beginning of another rhythm.
