In The Mirror of Power , Tereza Palaiologou stages a silent confrontation — not a clash, but a subtle coexistence between reality and its reflection.
The glass facade doesn't look to the sky: it absorbs it. Clouds, light, and the city's lines settle on its surface, are doubled, and dissolve. Architecture ceases to be merely matter; it becomes a surface of projection, a space of transition between presence and appearance.
In this play of reflections, the city dematerializes. It loses its density, becoming more uncertain, almost fragile. The structure remains immobile, massive, but it now contains within itself both the sky and the city, without fully belonging to either.
The image thus questions the nature of power: is it in the solidity of the form or in its capacity to absorb, to reflect, to transform?
Between assertive verticality and luminous dissolution, the work creates a space of tension where our gaze oscillates, seeking an anchor point in an architecture that seems both stable and elusive.
