Two chimpanzees, seated face to face in a modern black stone bathtub, adopt a pensive pose. Their hands support their chins, mimicking the human attitude of reflection. This painting, steeped in minimalism, immediately evokes Shakespeare's existential question, revisited with humor and tenderness.
In a sober and chic setting, the artist subverts the codes of luxury and philosophy by inserting the animal into a contemporary universe. He questions us about intelligence, contemplation, and our own image in this simian mirror.
