This minimalist sculpture evokes a delicate exchange between two complementary presences: the stone sphere, slightly notched, and the wooden crescent, like an incomplete response. The whole thing floats gracefully on slender steel rods, like two silhouettes in conversation. The title, A Weekend in Cythera , takes us back to the sweetness of a romantic interlude, a discreet homage to the mythical island of Aphrodite.
