Turquoise 3 immerses us in a spectral, almost cosmic vision of matter. Originating from a polarizing microscope image taken at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, this photograph reveals the microstructures of the only turquoise deposit identified in Greece, in the Vathi Kilkis region. This research, conducted as part of the artist's master's thesis, lies at the intersection of geology and contemplation.
This icy disc, as if seen through a breath, evokes both the crystalline purity and the fragility of the mineral world. Cracks, filaments, bubbles: each detail testifies to a threatened balance, a beauty on borrowed time.
Turquoise 3 is an imprint of silence, an ancient world frozen in a flickering light.
