Emerging like a vision born from a dream or another dimension, Untitled rockform transports us to a territory suspended between sky and rock, between mineral and cloud.
This captivating image, from the Losing Turquoise series, blurs the lines between reality and illusion. At first glance, one believes one is contemplating a sea of clouds, then a telluric, almost lunar texture emerges, evoking an inverted map. The sky becomes ground, the stone becomes vapor.
The work echoes the ambivalent nature of turquoise, a mystical stone with both scientific and talismanic properties, a recurring theme throughout the series. Here, the landscape seems to crystallize this tension between the tangible and the invisible, between rational knowledge and sensory perception.
A photograph of atmospheric beauty, where matter becomes poetry.
