In this image with milky and almost unreal hues, Turquoise 6 plunges us into an enigmatic, subterranean vision, where fragments of mineral matter float like fossilized memories.
Ioustini Drakoulakou continues his intimate exploration of Greek turquoise through the scientific lens of the polarizing microscope. This image, taken from a slide studied at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, becomes a window onto another dimension – somewhere between geology, memory, and visual abstraction.
A floating mineral landscape, where matter seems to dissolve in the silence of time.
