In The Reflection , Perlita Ferri explores the complex interplay of inner mirrors and doubles. The scene, both theatrical and silent, unfolds in a setting where everything seems codified: a black and white checkered floor, a blazing fireplace, a painting on the wall that extends the gaze.
Two women face each other there – or perhaps they confront each other within a single consciousness. One, standing, asserts her authority, while the other, kneeling, seems to buckle under the weight of a truth or a memory. Between them, a space charged with tension, where domination, guilt, and the search for self play out.
The painting, with its almost cinematic rigor, creates a dialogue between shadow and light, mastery and vulnerability.
