In 1992 I did an 8-day trek in the spring, with Terre d'Aventure, in the High Atlas, leaving from Marrakech.
These were unforgettable moments. We came across Berber villages, men and children. We slept in tents and washed in the river that we sometimes went along.
I wanted to paint this man and this child, and a village, from my photos.
An old Berber man with a weathered face and a deep gaze. He works the land, builds his house with his own hands, and has the wisdom of those who have faced the vicissitudes of life.
