In 1992 I did an 8-day trek in the spring, with Terre d'Aventure, in the High Atlas Mountains starting from Marrakech.
These were unforgettable moments. We passed through Berber villages, men and children. We slept in tents and washed in the river that we sometimes walked alongside.
I wanted to paint this man and child, and a village, based on my photos.
An old Berber man with a weathered face and a deep gaze. He works the land, builds his house with his own hands, and has the wisdom of those who have faced life's vicissitudes.
