Immersed in intense black, the textured surface captures light in fragments, revealing traces, reflections, clues. The work oscillates between presence and absence, between what is visible and what eludes the eye. Like an icon that fades away, an elusive celebrity, it questions us on the fleeting nature of the image and the cult of celebrity.

Alexis Toublanc plays here with matter and mystery, proposing a reflection that is both aesthetic and conceptual on perception, notoriety and the ephemeral. "Where is Kate Moss?" does not offer an answer, only an invitation to search, to feel, to project.
